Overview
Discover Casela Nature Parks
Casela occupies roughly 350 hectares of hillside above the west coast at Cascavelle, and it is best understood as several parks sharing one gate. Some visitors come for the animals, some for the adrenaline, and the ticket structure reflects that — what you can do depends on which package you buy.
The park is organised into distinct zones. A bird kingdom with walk-through aviaries, a family area with gentler rides and a petting farm, an African safari section crossed by safari vehicles with rhino and giraffe among the residents, and a predator area where big cats can be viewed.
On the adventure side there is a long summer toboggan run down the hillside, zip lines, quad and buggy trails, and electric off-road vehicles for exploring the safari terrain. The setting helps: the ground rises steeply behind the coast, so a lot of the park has genuine views out over the lagoon.
Casela also offers close animal interactions, including supervised walks with big cats. These are optional extras rather than part of standard entry, and they are worth thinking about carefully — some visitors are enthusiastic about them, others prefer to stick to observing animals from a distance. Either way, they cost extra and usually need booking.
